A fox watches Ben and his family through their huge garden windows, just out of sight. Ben has it all - warmth, safety, beautiful shining taps - and yet he's unhappy. The whole family is. The fox thinks he'd do a better job: of being Ben, of being in that house.

One fox becomes two and then four - just like the family inside. They give themselves the same names. They come up with a plan.

But the closer their dreams become, the clearer it is that something's not quite right. There's something out there, in the shadows. There are strange happenings inside the house, inside their heads. There are things they can't forget.
