Mounted model length 19cm The North American T-6 Texan was one of the most important and widespread training aircraft of the 20th century. Designed and built by the famous American company since the second half of the thirties, it was characterized by its low wing configuration and the all-metal structure with the tandem cabin able to accommodate instructor and student. It was equipped with a Pratt & Whitney R-1340 radial engine of approximately 600 horsepower, which guaranteed good performance and similar in-flight behavior to that of fighters of the time, making it ideal for preparing pilots for passage on operational aircraft. The T-6 was actively deployed, including in operational missions, in the 1950s and 1960s by over 60 air forces from numerous countries, including the United States, Italy, France, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Brazil.
