Mounted model length 39.5 cm.The Me-323 "Gigant" was one of the largest transport aircraft built during World War II. It was created for the precise need of the Luftwaffe, as a result of the lengthening of the supply lines, to transport troops and materials over long distances. Initially developed by a glider, it was equipped with six radial motors installed on the wing coupling to ensure sufficient power for full load flight operations. The huge fuselage was capable of carrying troops, over 120 men, supplies, artillery pieces and light vehicles. The large carrying capacity compromised the maximum speed of just over 240 km/h. It was used on the fronts of North Africa and Tunisia, to supply from the bases of Sicily the Afrika Korps, and Russia. It is considered a milestone of transport aircraft. For collectors over the age of 14. Safety Warning For adult collectors over the age of 14
